Catching Up: Keys 2709 - 2719
After a whirlwind summer of company and work stuff and fall cleaning stuff and organizing to make way for new projects stuff finally I am posting my latest keys:
Key 2709 is made from an angled screwdriver tool that someone generously and anonymously gifted to me at the Saskatoon Makerspace Studio, a few sewing machine parts and bobbin, rhinestones and other jewellery bits, and a flattened top of lighter that I found on the road.
Key 2710 is made from another anonymously gifted small tool (some sort of screwdriver extension maybe? I’m not really up on all the tools…), more sewing machine parts, more jewellery bits, and a plastic phone jack connector thing (that I also don’t know the proper name of).
Key 2711 is made from an Allen key, a small direction that i got from my neighbours moving sale (and later flattened an took apart), clip on earring clips, small square clips that held the lids on some tins, more jewellery bits, and a disc that came from a machine (not sure if it was a sewing machine or something else).
Key 2712 took forever to make as the resin kept dripping in a bad way and the more times I tried to fix it the worse it seemed to get…it’s also made from an Allen key and jewellery bits. Also a lock and a broken key. I added some glitter to this key and that ended up getting pretty much everywhere except the key…a key that’s been through some stuff - but it’s got a nice feel to it - a good key to hold and smooth away worries.
Key 2713 is made from another gifted drill bit, some Christmas ornaments that were on a wreath in a free pile at another neighbour’s garage sale, garage sale napkin rings (from yet another neighbour), beads, and bits, and part of a hair clip I found smashed on a busy street.
Key 2714 is made from a drill bit, napkin rings, zipper pulls from a former Actionwear factory, and more jewellery.
Key 2715 is a very heavy and largish key made from a ratchet (more anonymous gifts!)., the top of a jewellery box (that big heart), bent up napkin rings, a key, and other jewellery bits.
Key 2716 is made from some thrift store charms, rhinestones, beads, a metal rod that I can’t remember where I cut it from, and more squished lighter tops from the road.
Key 2717 is made from more charms and rhinestones and has a real moonstone in the centre.
Key 2718 is made from angel charms and jewellery bits.
Key 2719 is made from three shiny discs and a shiny metal shaft that I rescued from the top of trashcan outside my studio, another Christmas ornament from that free wreath, the other part of the squished hair clip, a sewing machine foot, and more jewellery bits. I had some bad resin drips on this one so I decided to use the Dremel to get them off - I had too heavy a hand though and took off some of the silver finish…so then that became a thing and I hacked up all the discs so that it would look “meant”.
