Shellac! Keys 2010 - 2016

I’ve been coating all my keys in resin to finish them off and to make them stronger. I like how the resin was soaking into the paper keys but it was a bit challenging to work with. If only there was a way to spray the resin on I thought…I couldn’t figure out how to do that but I did decide to try some sprays. In the end I went with some Bullseye Shellac spray (which was my first impulse so really there was no need to test other types of varnish - live and learn!).

The spray is ok but not as strong as the resin. Still, the keys are not as fragile as they were before I sprayed them. Here’s the latest (all from the great English text book):
