Key 1906

Key 1906

CA$125.00

One-of-a-kind Key Sculpture made from gold painted stainless steel terminal (purchased from Rose’s Auction in Saskatoon. Terminal is circa 1957 and came from Canadian military; terminals are used to tie down metal cables); vintage gold brooches; an earring; parts are glued together and entire key is coated in eco-friendly resin from Manitoba.

Key 1906 in the 5000 Keys to Infinite Places Series. No two keys the same. All jewellery in this art series is upcycled and comes from gifts/donations, thrift stores, garage sales, and sometimes along the side of the road.

Key 1906 is a very solid key. Each side is different. People often comment when picking up the keys made with terminals that they are heavier than expected.

Key can be displayed in a variety of ways (on a shelf, wall, framed, etc.). Key can be held and gently handled; parts will likely break off if the key is dropped.

Key 1906 is approximately 5½” long by 2¾” wide and 1½“ deep
