Key 2679

Key 2679

CA$100.00

One-of-a-kind Key Sculpture made from washers, a key ring, a clip, a piece of chain, a necklace chain, metal bits, and a tiny gear; parts are glued together and entire key is coated in eco-friendly resin from Manitoba. Most of the parts of this key were found on the roads and alleys of Saskatoon.

Key 2679 in the 5000 Keys to Infinite Places Series. No two keys the same. All jewellery in this art series is upcycled and comes from gifts/donations, thrift stores, garage sales, and sometimes along the side of the road.

Key 2679 is a confident and straightforward little key - somewhat conformist and quite well put together even if it is made up of lost parts. The beautiful patina of the squished metal in the centre of one side is a reminder that sometimes the things that are the hardest can be refining and bring out beauty.

Key can be displayed in a variety of ways (on a shelf, wall, framed, etc.). Key can be held and gently handled; parts will likely break off if the key is dropped.

Key 2679 is approximately 4¼” long by 1½ ” wide and ¼“ deep
